Had the same problem with a satellite pro l650. Solution of pressing 0 on startup worked! Woohoo!

Turn the computer off, then turn it on and press the "0" key at the same time (that's zero, next to the 9). It should come back up with the system restore and allow you to reinstall.

What can I do? I just bought my mum a a500 satellite and the first screen is the ERROR f3 f200 0002 and then it turns off. Leaving back overseas tomorrow and I have just bought mum a lemon? How can I fix it?

Can anyone help me I have the same error F3-F200-0002 and i do not what to do? My brand new Toshiba Satellite A500 just turns it off.
