Windows Decorations getting fouled up

When I left my computer, I had a web-browser open and displayed to the screen, and windows media player paused in the background.

I came back a few hours later, put my computer out of sleep mode, and everything was still running, except the decorations on the windows were... they were still there, but they were very messed up, and the buttons on the top-right of the forms were not displaying correctly.

They still technically worked, but I couldn't get rid of them. I was running Aero, by the way, and my PC has more than enough power to run it.

Eventually, I was able to fix it without a reboot by going to the appearance personalizing screen.

When I tried changing the color scheme, nothing happened, but when I switched the theme to a non-aero-interface, then reset it to my normal thing, everything was working correctly once more.
