Check what time zone you have selected

click the clock,
click change date/time,
there should be a big button that says change time zone

I was having the same problem you described, (I live in eastern time and the clock kept resetting to pacific)

I realized I had selected pacific time because it was the only one i had seen with "(United States)" at the end.

The root of the problem is that, but whats actually causing the clock to change, is that Windows 7 is trying to sync your clock up to one on the internet. At which point the server checks to see what time zone you are using (in my case it was pacific) and sets the time to whatever time it is in that zone.

I only just found out that i messed up my time zone, and am assuming that whoever wrote the first post on here did the same and that Windows is not, as s/he stated, "changing the time zone"

if it is actually changing the time zone, then you could try going into Date and Time (click the clock on the task bar and click change date and time), then go into the Internet Time tab, and click Change Settings, then uncheck the box that says "Synchronize with an Internet Time Server"

that should stop the computer from trying to sync up your time when it thinks the time it has is off

that last part is just an idea, i havnt actually tried it yet because i havnt had need to but if all else fails it wont hurt to try.

I have used windows 7 since release date (approx 2 wks)...I have had to reset the display clock about 8 times...the minutes remain correct....it's only the hours that I have been manually correcting.
