Windows 7 - So far so good!

My experience installing Windows 7 has been very good thus far.
I went somewhat against the grain, and did an upgrade from my Vista Ultimate.
I did a backup of my personal files, ran a defrag and a checkdsk on my hard drives then ran the Windows 7 upgrade.
It took a while it must have gone through 1.5 million files, but it got there in the end with no problems.
The only issue i had was my McAfee v8.5i stopped working. I upgraded to v8.7i and the problem was solved.
I also downloaded AVG for about a week and that worked too.
It looks very promising for Windows 7, provided Microsoft will sell it for a decent price.
I remember I paid approximately $A750.00 for Vista Ultimate, the day after it was released in Australia.
I ended up having to shelf it for 6 months until drivers were available for my new hardware which i also bought at the time.
I was not impressed. The PC wouldn't boot with my creative X-fi soundcard.
Windows 7 looks good, and boots and shutsdown quicker then Vista.
I also like the fact that IE8 is now faster then Firefox! I like the look and feel of the new taskbar.
The sidebar layout is also better. I like the fact that i can run Windows Task Manager without being prompted by the UAC.
All my applications and games work, and there seems to be no obvious bugs.
