Windows 7 IS worth it,

They should not have bowed to pressure for new now, and waited until the came up with Win 7 in it's present form.

It's Windows ME all over freaking again! It sucked so bad I threw it away rather than foist it off on some other poor person who didn';t need the trouble any more than I did.

I have Win 7 Ultimate, and it's quite nice and it works in all the situations that Vista did as you described.

I just did a 'Bing' price check and found WIn 7 Ultimate 64 bit for $125.00, so it can be had for less. Make sure you get the right one for your processor & motherboard.
