I installed win7 over XP SP3 on 22 Nov. on a Dell Demension E310 w/2 GB Ram ans 250 HDD.
As an average user, I found the upgrade to be very easy.
The difference in my computer is like night and day. Win 7 is so much easier to use and, IMO, much faster.
My son has Vista so I knew to skip it.
Windows 7 is by far the best thing to happen for MS in a long time!
