Windows 7 User Submissions

Windows 7 freezes during install

It installed on laptop and desktop with no problems whatsoever. it worked like a dream and very impressed BUT
Then tried on my main system and it gets almost to the end (completing installation) and freezes.

left it a whole hour so switched off and when it reboots I get a message advising couldnt install.

checked spec and its well over tolerance. unplugged all usb devices and tried again.

gigabyte mainboard (775) 4 gb memory. 1 tb + hard dr
5800 dual core processor

tried 4 times twice from within vista and twice using it as boot disk.

any ideas please
