Why does it freeze!

I had this computer for almost 6 month, and it's been having the same problem since second week or so.
at some point when i use the computer, it freezes and i have to push the button and kill it, then restart. fortunatly my computer starts up quite fast, so havent been that big of a problem.
BUT NOW
i was doing some work in Photoshop and worked for some hours, SUDDENLY it freezes, and i havent saved it.
2 hours "well" spended.
how do I solve this problem, and i googled the problem, I aint the only one having these problems.
