Upgraded my vista ultimate to windows 7

I upgraded my Vista ultimate to Windows 7 which took about 4 hours.

I was disappointed with the result everything worked at a snails pace so I had to change back to Vista.

Anyone got any suggestions because installing a fresh installation entails too much hazzle having to reinstall all my applications.
