Trying to install LifeCam 3

I have tried 4 times so far to install the software program (LifeCam3.0)provided by Windows to install my LifeCam.

No success!

I cannot believe Microsoft sells a camera product and makes it so difficult to adapt to any system past XP.

If Microsoft can't fix their problem, why don't they recall the Lifecams affected and provide replacements. LifeCams are not cheap!!
