I have installed Win7 on many PCs including new PCs, Old PCs (up to 4 years old) laptops and netbooks (the Starter edition). Apart from speed issues on one of the netbooks (first model EeePC), the only problems I have had are with old model printers where the drivers are not (and will not be made) available. Even the 64-bit R2 of WIndows 2008 Server works just fine. Never install software that is NOT compatible with your OS - just asking for trouble. Did you do a clean install, or an upgrade? If you did an upgrade are are having problems, I suggest you do a clean install of WIn 7 then reinstall your hardware then software ONE AT A TIME to see what is causing this.

Program Problems
by: Anonymous

I have also noticed that sometimes a program will randomly quit working a week or two after it is installed. Reinstall it and it works again for a couple of day to a month.
