I don't know of any way that you can try a program without buying it, but I do feel confident that if you buy Windows 7 and install it you will be happy with it. However, you want to be sure to check and see what the recommended requirements are as it could be that your system is not powerful enough. If you want help, you need to post more info such as what hardware is in your system, how long you have been running Vista and if the slow down happened from the time you installed Vista or has just gradually lost its speed. It might not be a Vista problem at all.
