Should users pay for upgrades?

I paid in full for W95 and W98. Then,I paid in full for XP. And once more, I paid in full for Vista.

For most users, the only one which genuinely improved on what went before was XP and as far as I’m concerned, each ‘new’ operating system was in reality an ‘upgrade’ and should have been treated as such.

Vista was a supreme example of Microsoft greed and lack of conscience by them ripping off us, their customers. And Microsoft have been making countless millions out of us, charging us over the top prices for the next new OS.

So this time, if I can obtain a pirate copy of W7 I’ll have no twinges of conscience about installing and using it. I’ve supported MS financially for years, but now, unless they charge an affordable price for their product, I’ll support the pirates.

Disillusioned by Microsoft? You bet!
