I purchased this laptop specifically for Windows 7 testing because it was the best deal with 4GB of RAM with a 64 bit processor at the time.

The first beta install was a disaster because the Beta at that time was not created properly at the Microsoft camps, six hours later the new ISO was online and downloaded.

I upgraded the first time from Vista SP1 to Vista Ultimate SP1 and then to Windows 7 Ultimate. Everything worked out of the box.

Recently the RC version (release candidate) came out and I took the time to wipe the system and install from scratch.

Not one hickup folks, this laptop is made for the OS and vice-versa. I am now actually using this laptop as my work laptop.

The only thing that does not work is the Windows XP mode (virtual machine) because the processor can not be enabled for virtual mode.

So far I haven't ran into any of my applications that did not work in Windows 7.

The 3D gaming is not all that good but that is not why I purchased this machine.

I manage many SQL databases and with the SQL 2008 client and admin tools the various software runs fine.

Great Plains runs great, IFS (another ERP system) clients run perfectly fine, the various magration tools run great and so I can use this machine with this OS.

Backups are running daily to my external hard disk. I hope sincerely that Toshiba will allow people that purchased their laptops with Vista to upgrade at a reduced price.
