Had the same problem
by: Screenchecker

I had excactly the same symptoms in Win 7.

Here is my (strange) solution:

* Use the driver that comes with Windows 7 (8.632.1.2000).

* You need to install the ATI Control Center tough. (Don't install the new driver because maybe it won't work then)

* In the Control Center you choose "Overdrive" and just unlock the option.

* Set the slider to 300 (CPU Clock) and 500 (Memory Clock) BUT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CHECK THE "Enable Overdrive" Checkbox.

Your Card will still run @ 600 CPU Clock, but the System won't lock up anymore.

Furthermore make sure you don't use any Energy-Saving Options for your graphics card in the Windows control panel.

I know this solution sounds strange, but it's working for over a month now.

New ATI drivers available for Windows7
by: Chuck B.

Re-Check the ATI site. There is a new Catalyst driver for your Radeon 4350 listed for both 32 and 64 bit Windows 7. I have been using the latest driver set from ATI for several days without any noticible problems or hangs. (not a 4350 though). Anyway, check it out.
