Problem with hardware discovery (Broadcom Wireless)
by Marek

Hi there,
After getting RC installed (clean install) I got a pretty strange problem.
System can't detect my Wireless card (broadcom). On the begining I thought that maybe the card failed and quickly aquired an USB one.
Put it in, but before windows was able to finish installing it I decided that I have to go and I simply pulled the USB card out.
To my greatest surprise a window popped out listing available wireless networks!
There was mine Broadcom wireless enabled, working like a charm. I wanted to investigate it furher but in the meantime the automatic updates decided to restart the machine.
And all is lost now - I wasn't able to recreate this behaviour.
There's nothing in the Device manager, detect hardware doesn't help and when listing in IPCONFIG there is no trace of broadcom.
When I use external hardware auditing tool Broadcom is listed there as one of the installed adapters.
Unfortunately just can't get it to show in device manager. Running out of ideas.
Did anyone came across such problem? ANy known solutions?
Marek
