When i'm typing emails, outlook seems to do its own thing randomly.

Initially, I had assumed that maybe I had typed the wrong key or something.

This was not so.

Every so often, the email that I'm typing will for no reason at all, minimize. Other times, it will open a completely new email window and continue my typing from the previous email in it.

Also at random, the screen for an attachment will open up while I am mid-typing.
