I think it worked!

Don't want to jinx it, but I think uninstalling and reinstalling the latest might have finally fixed it. I never thought to uninstall the old one first, I guess that is the key.

I am experiencing the same problem whenever I try to run backup programs. I upgraded to the latest driver but no help. Hoping someone has a solution to this problem.

What sort of mother board are you using this can help with fix to your problem

is it a Asus

plus some times it can be a conflict with the motherbaord as well
if its Asus try this possible fix
I found a possible solution on the asus forums. Try this:

First download the new video card driver on your computer. Don't install it. Just have it at hand. Click Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapters - Nvidia Video Card and uninstall it. Your computer will still work in default. Then reboot and install the new driver. Supposedly that will work. In Vista after you reboot, the prior driver installs automatically, so I can't verify if it works until I figure out of to stop Vista from auto-updating.
