My Acer M5810 (core i7, 6gb RAM, nvidia GT220 graphics, intel P55 express chipset) produces very regularly the following error message:
“Nvidia windows kernel mode driver version 195.62 stopped responding”.
This message appears VERY regularly and previous to it, the screen blink and turns black for about 2 seconds.
After a few seconds, I can resume whatever I was doing, but the interruptions are extremely annoying.
The standard driver version was 186.37, so I updated that to the latest version (195.62) through the Nvidia site. Unfortunately this didn’t help at all.
Very disappointing. Never had such issues with either XP or Vista.
