I gave up in the end
by: Luc B

After a lot of NVIDIA driver and Windows 7 updates I gave up and installed a new graphics card with GT440 chips. Now I have no display problems anymore. (Hardware compatibility issue perhaps?)

Still not solved yet
by: Luc B.

Unfortunately this latest driver did not solve the problem either, although it occurs less frequent, but in all cases it happens when scrolling long internet pages with IE and playing DVD's with Windows Media player. Not when playing the same DVD with e.g. NERO showtime.

I'll keep this updated....

Having the same problem
by: Anonymous

I am as well experiencing problems with this, whether I am simple on msn or gaming.
I am using the Acer Aspire 7730 Notebook with Windows 7 Home Premium, Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT.

This problem occurs to me from time to time, but on days it does happen it usually happens rather often. Putting an old backup or restore point back doesn't have any effect, neither is uninstalling and installing (new) drivers.

I went back to the store with the problem, but at that time Windows 7 had only been released for a couple of weeks so they had no idea how to fix it yet.

Has anyone managed to fix this issue yet? Please reply!

Thanks in advance!

(In my case the problem occured most when scrolling long internet pages)
