I tried installing a Windows 7 Beta on my Toshiba laptop R15-S822. It installed OK over the former XP system but the lack of drivers was terrible.

I tried installing a Windows 7 Beta on my Toshiba laptop R15-S822.

It installed OK over the former XP system but the lack of drivers was terrible. No sound, no wifi, and a number of other things wouldn’t work.

It said I needed drivers but since this Toshiba came with no reinstall disks, I was helpless. Incidently, Ubuntu 810 loaded with out a glitch and all of the hardware works!!

I had hoped to buy windows 7 when it came out but I think I will stick with Ubuntu.
