Missing nvidia 8400 driver
by: Mike in Milton Keynes,UK

The easiest way to get the correct driver, is to let windows connect to the net and do the search itself. You need to go into control panel, Hardware and devices, device manager.
List all the devices on pc, find "display adapters" which should have a yellow triangle next to it. ( it means the driver is missing ).
right-click on the Geforce 8400 entry, then choose
"update driver". Your pc will then connect to the net and download the right driver.
If that doesn't work, or you can't get it to work, go to nvidia.com, enter the exact number of your graphic card into the search box, and download the file. ( it could be 30MB or more).
When you have it on your pc, RUN it, and it will install automatically. Then you will need to go into control panel, display, and click on 'change the screen resolution'.
Choose the highest resolution, and it should be correct from then on. It's worth saving the driver to a CD or DVD, so that you don't have to repeat all that again. Good luck.
