I bought my M17x with Vista installed and the free upgrade to 7.

I sent away and got the disc, when I tried to upgrade it crashed the system. I did a clean install and it took out my alienware package.

had to use the respawn cd that I bought with the system which of course reverted my computer back to vista. so I’m not really impressed with this whole setup.

I use 7 on an older dell laptop and it works great I have 5 computers that float around my house and would love to upgrade them all but until I get this strait I’ll stick with the one vista machine and the rest are XP.
