iPad? Not so much

Except for Apple-centric apps (whoo-hoo! iPhone apps! Not.), the "ASUS Eee PC T91MT 8.9-Inch Black Tablet Netbook" on sale at Amazon.com does all the iPad does and much, much more... for much less.
Touchscreen? Check.
WiFi? Check, but also has wired ethernet option.
32Gb SSD? Check, but also comes _with_ 500GB online storage.
A 3G option? Sure, for about $50 to add an UNLOCKED USB adapter. Add 3G to the 32GB SSD iPad and it'll cost another $130 (as noted in the article)
OK, the Asus netbook is 0.6 pound heavier, but I don't know very many people who're limp-wristed enough for that to matter, especially as that 0.6 pound "penalty" comes with
a. a removable, easily-replaceable battery (anyone recall the battery fiascos with iPods and iPhones?)
b. a KEYBOARD and TOUCHPAD for, like, you know, real computer use.
The list can go on and on, including multi-tasking, MOUTAINS of REAL apps, not iPhone "apps", USB!!! (thousands of instantly installable/configurable, _inexpensive_ and usable peripherals) and more.
AND, it's not locked into the Apple Straightjacket Store to obtain media content.
An iPad killer? Well, if folks writing for computer sites gave it any electronic "ink" it very well could be.
