Sucks?

Well, go back to your obsolete OS and come back when you gain some knowledge. You probably did not read the Windows knowledge base articles. The vendors of your hardware are responsible to submit drivers for Win7. After the drivers pass the WHQL tests, then they are released.
Many million Win7 users can't be wrong. Looks like it is you.

Usless money grabber

I find people who work for Microsoft or their bought and paid for companies like E-Machines love to give flowery and totally bogus reports on how great Win7 is. It sucks, as in stinks, as in junk. A downgraded Vista, even more useless than Millennium was. Just a money grab scheme. Less programs work than ever before, not backward compatible to much of anything. No mailer that is worth a hoot.

Extra clicks required to do any simple task. (If you can even find where they stuck it to click on it.) No "Classic' option. Might be ok for a new kid never used a real comp before, but for anyone where time is important, get Windows for work-groups V3.11 on a DOS machine, it'll work far more efficiently and be more friendly too.

I think I will finally look seriously at Ubuntu now, Microsoft has gone it hell.

Properly installed and set up W7 64 is an excellent O.S. I have had no Driver issues at all unlike Vista

I hate XP - it really sucks, has so many bugs, and will not be supported much longer. 64-bit is still in its infancy, unfortunately - a very long gestation period due to slow uptake therefore not a great deal of support (yet). That will change, I believe. Cheers.

The vast majority of us have no problems at all.
Quit bitching and re-install whatever you want. After you read a few help files and a few books, you will maybe evolved enough to understand the basics of operating systems. Also, by then, you will be older and wiser.

I've been using it since it came out, and on my laptop no less, and never had any problems with it. Win 7 64 bit is as good if not better than XP, and I've had that since it came out as well.
