I contacted HP and had a replacement hard drive sent out. From what I understand there is an update you can download that should fix the problem...otherwise you will need to replace the hard drive. Good luck!!

I was able to undo the damage by hitting "Restore your computer to an earlier time" and restoring it to before I upgraded AVG Free. Hope this helps.

The same exact thing is happening to me and I've had 0 luck finding the solution on google. I have no idea what to do.
