Each user knows that when you have a crash by her of his own stupidity, a lot of good work and time is wasted, if you don’t have you precious data saved on a different HD or partition.
Also thought about a complete backup image made on a different location than your C: bootup …disk/partition.
No, than you are on the road to disaster.
So please before you decide a new PC or have your old one upgraded, check where you can put your data and have it saved in case of an emergency.
So what to do, have several HD in your PC and have one or two external USB in hand.
Then set your system up and make a partition on each disk. The external ones are for storing your old data of former years.
When you have your OS ready installed, copy all the folders where normally Windows will put your data on that other partion called d:.
If you another HD available, then have sliced in two calling htem E: and F:. On E: you can made your complete backup image and other folders.
On F: you can make a backup of what you think you don’ want to loos of data (optional).
If you do so, you can sleep on both ears and know that you have your things in order.
I don’t understand why Microsoft teach you this stuff in the 1st place…… lazy?
