I got a chance again to get the RC version and now I got a triple boot with Vista, 7 and Ubuntu (all 64bit).
Vista was NOT as bad as people made it out to be. However I'm a power user so I know how to make things go blue.
With Vista I found that I got it to go blue for no reason more often. Even when I'm shutting Vista down I'll get a blue screen of death.
I'm not gonna be using Vista for a long time I don't really need to.
Now I'm on 7 and I found that it's okay. I only say okay because I can't do thing I need to do. XP Mode isn't supported for my cpu.
When I extended from my laptop to my monitor the mouse cursor paints or wipes the screen as it moves around (very annoying and strange).
Vista couldn't even extend properly either (but it didn't wipe or paint the screen. Bluetooth freezes a little to much but doesn't do it unless I'm downloading updates or loading updates or something like that (happened on Vista too).
Although sometime even the mouse track pad won't respond which then make it a nonbluetooth problem.
One thing I noticed might not happen any more is that my external sound card would stop producing sound after being on for hours (Only on 7).
7 doesn't support the track pad scroll up and down or side to side (Works out the box on Vista and Ubuntu why not on 7?) Downloaded software works good.
Logitech gives 7 the idea that something is wrong however Logitech setpoint software works just fine.
I like the gadget desktop much improved. I only wish that each time I load up it wouldn't move anything.
I really like the monitor adjustment setting make the screen look like it would on a desktop.
Oh yeah it load way faster then Vista it may load faster then Ubuntu (even with all the gadgets).
So what's that mean overall to me.
Ubuntu gets 8/10 (It would get 9 but I got no sound)
Vista gets 6/10
7 gets 8/10 (if xp mode worked for everyone then 9/10)
XP gets 7/10 (I miss it so)
Because of Vista 7 is going to need to be free or a HUGE discount just so they can make up for the years of people crying, shouting, screaming, slaming or having that feeling of comfort.
Not sure why they set the date for 6/26 could've/should've ben 5/26 (My birthday) I only say that because I got my laptop 6/22.
