finally an OS that does it right 1st time

i attempted to use Vista twice and i never liked it from day 1 with both attempts ending in a format.

Windows is getting far too fat in size, during installation it wld be better to give the user an option as to which services or component to install.

I for one hate all those fancy graphics, although it looks nice n a good tool if u want to sell a product but it just eats up too much of the system resource.

All windows from w9x to win7 install a lot of crap into your pc, when i say crap i mean s/w u'll never use.

I want an OS that is slim line, use as little HDD as possible n more over ultra fast.

If Microsoft want to include all the unwanted items at least give the user a choice.

windows 7 is promising indeed 100 times better than vista for sure.

It's clean n direct. they hv cleaned up the desktop n pretty much everything else that might confuse n newbie.

The lack of drivers for old h/w is a major issue with w7 forcing us to upgrade n i hate to upgrade esp when the card is working fine.

As usual, is full of graphics animation that hogs up your system resources but its an improvement over vista.

Basic w7 is vista all clean up with added features u might never use in your entire life on w7.

I'm on dual boot with XP for the sound coz i'm still using old faithfull CSB live n w7 for surffing the internet n documentation.

Yah, one other thing, internet is a lot better/faster with w7 n most importantly, more stable.

I've test a few application n they all pretty much work fine. i would have given it my full approval had it work with all my current h/w but that's what they call progress 4u.

So if u r planning on getting Vista, STOP - get w7 RC its better n its free for now.
