Dual Graphics Cards for Windows 7

I need to run two graphics cards. I understood from some forums that this was possible so long as the graphics cards were the same, so I bought an AGP card the same as my PCI-E (both NVIDIA GeForce 6600's).

I get as far as the windows logo on start up and then I loose video output completely.

Until Microsoft fix this BUG then the operating system is useless to me.

Does anyone know of an imminent fix for this?
