Drivers Dont Load On Start

Some times when I start my ASUS laptop, the only the default windows drivers load and basic video drivers.

Most of the time my track pad does not work and I have to connect a usb mouse, or I just shut down and restart.

After a restart, the OS loads fine. I am not sure if this is isolated to my install or others have encountered it as well.

ASUS G50Vt-2.13Ghz C2D, 4GB DDR2, 360GB HDD, Nvidia 9800GS, Widows 7 Pro.
