1300 LaserJet Driver
by: Anonymous

Thanks to the person that suggested getting the driver from the HP site. My printer has a USB connection and isn't even recognized by
Windows 7. Therefore, I can't install the driver that I downloaded.

Not Windows Fault...
by: Pmiddy

Windows can only install drivers for hardware where the manufacturer, in this case HP, creates/updates and sends to them. Now if Windows was a closed operating system and you only had a choice of this monitor, this printer, this webcam, then I would agree Windows should have the proper driver, unless the hardware in question is no longer being manufactured and off the market for more than 5 years.

Now on HP site there is a "Driver - Universal Print Driver" for Windows, including Windows 7. Here is a shortened link for you, http://bit.ly/8NI1Dj did you try out this driver and it not work? There are three versions, PCL 5, PCL 6, and Postscript. Make sure you grab the correct one.

Hope this helps.

HP Printer Driver
by: Anonymous

I have an HP PSC 1350 all-in-one printer and use Windows 7. When I loaded Win 7, I turned on the printer and started the sys. It found my USB connected printer and loaded the appro driver. Using the normal method, I can't find the driver. However, going thru control panel, devices & printers, I select HP psc 1300 series printer. Next I select 'customize printer' and it takes me to a
properties window and I select 'about. There, they list my driver and a bunch of other drivers that may work. For what it's worth.

HP Printer 1300 Driver

I thought for sure all HP drivers would be there. There's lots of them, but not for the 1300 printer. I even tried a generic driver, but it doesn't work, either.
