Download bug known for Windows 7?

by John Sandu
(Romania)

Avant Browser has changed the version from 11.46 to 2010 build 2.
I've installed the new version on both computers - at my place and at my office.
On the 2 computers I have Windows 7 Professional, up to date.

At my office I have problems downloading from an Avant 2010 b2 session, but I have not problems to do this at my place.

The problem is as following: I start a download from a tab of Avant browser; the download starts as usually and looks very normal; I see the progress bar; but when the download is reported to be finished I don't find the downloaded file in the destination recipient folder!

If I repeat the download from other browser (Opera, Firefox, Google Chrome, Comodo Dragon) everything is OK and the download is working as normal as possible!

I've reported to the Avant Browser team this problem and they answered me that it is a (known) bug of Windows 7.

Note that the same kind of downloads were perfect under the previous versions of Avant browser.

I made a search on this your site, but found nothing related to this problem.

I'm very confused about the answer of the Support Team of Avant Browser.

Do you know something about such a bug of Windows 7? If so, can it be fixed?
