Windows 7 User Submissions

i am using a system ibm thinkpad with 1.2gb RAM, i want to change my softwire to windows 7.

Now i am using windows xp3 so how could i change my softwire to windows 7.

what are the basic requirements in my system? can i change to windows7,if it is possible which one i want to select from windos7 software ?

I mean bit 32? or 64? please help me.
