Sometimes during a sudden power outage or unexpected shutdown,instead of properly booting up,I get a message that “DES is turned off,press any key to continue.
“Which would be ok,if pressing any key actually did something.What I have to do is reset the CMOS to get Windows to reboot,which means removing my videocard and replacing it to reach battery and reset jumper.
Then I have to reset the clock and calendar for Windows Updates to work properly.
I need to know what DES is,so perhaps I can adjust the settings,or choose some other recovery options to avoid the above headache.
