Constant alarm

I recently bought a Dell Vostro 200 with Windows 7 from a friend. I keep hearing an alarm (beep beep beep 3 times real fast over and over) and cannot figure out why or how to stop it. Does anyone know where to start looking? I have to keep my sound muted all the time now.
