Chrome freezes up for me in Windows 7 too

Yes, actually. This has been happening to me for the past several weeks. I assumed it was my Win. 7 installation going flaky on me, so I did a complete format/reinstall yesterday.

Everything's been fine, up until about five minutes ago. The freezing is back.

It's gotta be Chrome, as I have almost nothing else running right now, and haven't had time to reinstall much of anything besides a few basic things.

Also, previously I had the new Chrome beta, but since reinstalling I'm just using the newest non-beta (2.0.x) version.

I had suspected it could be an issue with the beta, but it looks like it's extending to even the non-beta version.
