And a MS Tech Beta Tester since December of 1997-no matter how good the upgrade engine is or how good the previous version of Windows ran-that many times garbage will be also copied rite a long with the upgrade that at some future time can cause all sorts of problems.
Now with my current PC- if I was to use a Upgrade version of Windows 7 Home Premium. I would start the upgrade in Vista but install on a different hard drive in other words a dual boot of Vista and-or XP/Win 7.
I have already told the web master how I think you can clean install a upgrade on a XP PC.
By the way Microsoft has already said that you can not do a direct upgrade of XP but have to do a clean install.
