Windows 7 User Submissions

In windows 7 I'm trying to find the event log. I'm told to go to Start>Control Panel>Systems and Maintenence>
to find event logs.

There isn't a Systems and Maintenence catagory listed in the Control Panel menu.

I'm having trouble getting into user 2-instead of getting my usual user 2 desktop-I get "Preparing your desktop"
instead. Eventually I can get a makeshift desktop, but it's a hassle.

So; I've poured my heart to you! Can anyone help me with this delema?
