Allthoug Acer states that this laptop doesn’t support Windows 7, I installed successfully Windows 7 with drivers from Acer (XP and Vista) and the latest W7 releases from the manufacturers.
At this point following works fine:
Acer Bios V1.24
Intel Chipset945 Inf Driver V9.1.1.1025
Nvidia Go 7300 179.48_notebook_winvista_win7_32bit_beta
Bluetooth Broadcomm V6.1.7600.16385
LAN RTL8168 PCI-e Driver_Win7_7011_12212009
Intel 3945 Wireless LAN Driver V13.0.0.1007
Acer OrbiCam (Logitech) V10.4.0.1319
Realtek High Definition Audio Driver V6.0.1.5334
Sometimes it is necessary to use XP or Vista compability to install these drivesr.
Only one bug still exists:
Occasionally I get an ATAPI error on the I/O Controller harddisk. DOS scans of the disk states it’s OK.
I am looking for a solution.
Does it have a relation to the Intel 82801GBM driver?
