A good gaming computer

I spent over a month researching new computers and upgrades.

I wanted to have a good gaming computer. i looked at building my own but for the price, i could just buy one from dell.

so i bought one with an I3 540 , 6gb ddr3 ram , 1TB HD.

Then got an ATI HD5770 1gb video card, a new 22" HD monitor and a 500w power supply.

spent 3weeks putting it together and setting all preferences.

I then loaded all my C&C games like red alert 3 and kanes wrath and lord of the rings battle for middle earth and warcraft and starcraft. well my operating system is 64 bit, and is the only option when ordering a new dell or hp computer so none of my games will play.

what a waste of month and well over a thousand dollars.
