Windows 7: Windows 7 Paint

Windows 7 Windows 7 Paint

Similar to Windows Vista, Windows 7 has a paint tool. It looks a little glossier and a little more robust. Paint is a program in Windows 7 that you can use to create drawings on a blank drawing area or in existing pictures.

Many of the tools you use in Paint can be found in the ribbon, close to the top of the Paint window. There are several different tools available for use to draw in Paint.

How the line appears in your drawing depends on the tool you use and the options you select. The following are the tools you may use to draw lines in Paint.

  • Pencil tool

  • Brushes

  • Line tool

  • Curve tool

Paint can also be used to add different shapes in a picture. The ready-made shapes range from traditional shapes—rectangles, ellipses, triangles, and arrows—to fun and unusual shapes, such as a heart, lightning bolt, or callouts (to name a few).

If you want to make your own custom shape, you can use to the Polygon tool for this purpose.
